The Kansas City Chiefs bolstered their defensive front on Monday, agreeing to terms with former Pro Bowl edge rusher Marcus Allen on a two-year contract worth $34 million. The move comes as the team looks to replace production lost during free agency earlier this spring.
Allen, who recorded 11.5 sacks last season, visited multiple teams before ultimately choosing Kansas City. Head coach Andy Reid praised the acquisition, calling Allen 'exactly the type of disruptive presence we were looking for on the edge.'
The signing fills a critical need heading into the 2026 season, as the Chiefs continue to build a roster capable of another deep playoff run. Allen is expected to start opposite Chris Jones in the team's base defensive alignment.
