Du Plessis has successfully defended his belt twice since claiming it, while Chimaev brings an undefeated record and devastating finishing ability to the octagon. The event is scheduled for June in Las Vegas.
The co-main event will feature a women's strawweight clash between former champion Zhang Weili and rising star Tatiana Suarez, promising an action-packed card from top to bottom.
